Saudi Arabia: Aramco Stadium’s operator appoints board and CEO with a view to the 2034 World Cup

Aramco Stadium Company, the entity responsible for the management and operation of Aramco Stadium (47,000 capacity), a future venue located in Al-Khobar (KSA), has set up its first board of directors and appointed a CEO to oversee the project’s delivery (expected in 2026), the subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, the national oil and gas producer, announced on 14/04/2026.

The role of chairman of the board of directors (which also comprises a vice-chairman and five members) has been assigned to Fahad Al Dhubaib, Aramco’s senior vice-president for strategy and market analysis (since January 2023). The position of CEO has been entrusted to Matthew Kittle, previously head of operations at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park (Inglewood, USA).

"The appointments mark a key milestone in activating the company and delivering one of the Kingdom's most important sports and entertainment development projects, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and contributing to its hosting of the 2034 FIFA World Cup," the company said.
