Parc des Princes: Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire authorised by the Paris City Council to negotiate with PSG

The Paris City Council has authorised Emmanuel Grégoire, Mayor of Paris (Socialist Party), to resume negotiations regarding the future of the Parc des Princes with its resident club, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 McDonald’s), on 14/04/2026. These discussions will focus on ensuring that the Parisian club remains at its current home ground, either through a sale or by agreeing to a long-term lease.

Should the option to sell be chosen, the agreement will include a clause stipulating that the stadium must continue to be used primarily for sporting purposes. In both cases (sale or long-term lease), all revenue received by the City of Paris "will be allocated primarily and predominantly to the development of community sport, women’s sport, the construction or renovation of sports facilities and green spaces, and then to the redevelopment of the neighbourhood."
