FC Lorient: Benoit Muller (ex-Paris Saint-Germain and Stade Rennais) appointed managing director

Benoit Muller has been appointed managing director of FC Lorient (Ligue 1 McDonald's), the club announced on 20/04/2026. He was appointed "by the new owner Black Knight Football Club," added the French club, of which American consortium BKFC became the sole shareholder in January 2026 (after acquiring a 40% minority stake in January 2023).

Arnaud Tanguy, who returned to the club as managing director in June 2024 after two previous spells in the same role (from November 2013 to June 2015 and from June 2021 to December 2023), will support Benoit Muller until the end of the season "to facilitate a transition."

"This appointment forms part of the club's objective to structure its organisation in a new phase of development within BKFC, in order to optimise its performance and strengthen its long-term competitiveness. With BKFC and president Loïc Féry, Benoit Muller will be tasked with leading the implementation of an ambitious strategy for FC Lorient, with the existing teams and the support of the group’s expertise."
