West Ham United FC: departure of vice-chair Karren Brady and executive director Nathan Thompson

Baroness Karren Brady is stepping down as vice-chair of West Ham United FC (Premier League), the club announced on 21/04/2026. She had held the position since January 2010, following the club's takeover by David Sullivan and David Gold.

"In her 16 years as vice-chair, Baroness Brady led the negotiations to secure the club’s move to the London Stadium, overseeing and driving the process that delivered the transition to a 62,500-capacity stadium. Under her leadership, West Ham United built a season ticket base of more than 50,000 supporters and now regularly records attendances among the highest in world football, reinforcing the club’s standing both globally and within the Premier League," the English club said.

Her departure comes alongside that of executive director Nathan Thompson ‘with immediate effect,’ as announced by the club on the sasme day.
