Belgium/Pro League: DAZN to continue broadcasting until end of 2026-27 despite dispute

DAZN will continue to broadcast matches from Pro League competitions in Belgium until the end of the 2026-27 season, the two lawyers representing the OTT platform said before the Francophone Commercial Court in Brussels (BEL) on 21/04/2026.

This announcement is the latest stage in the dispute between the Pro League and DAZN, which began in November 2025. DAZN, which initially held the full and exclusive domestic TV rights to the Pro League competitions (Jupiler Pro League, Challenger Pro League, Croky Cup, Supercup, Lotto Super League) for the 2025-2030 cycle, said on 25/11/2025 that it was terminating the contract after failing to reach agreement with at least two operators for the distribution of the competitions (a necessary condition for compliance with the contract).

The Pro League therefore filed, on 26/11/2025, an application for emergency arbitration with CEPANI (the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation) in order to resolve the dispute.
