Atlético de Madrid: creation of a complex featuring a 20,000-seat arena with Live Nation and Oak View

Club Atlético de Madrid (LALIGA EA Sports) presented its multifunctional complex project, which will be developed on the site of the former Madrid Aquatic Centre, near the Riyadh Air Metropolitano (70,460 capacity), on 21/04/2026.

The facility will be operated by Barsento, a company bringing together the club and the US-based companies Live Nation (live entertainment promotion and organisation) and Oak View Group (sports venue development and management).

The complex, whose construction will begin "shortly," will notably include:
• a 20,000-seat arena dedicated to music and live events;
• a campus capable of hosting 2,300 students, operated by Grupo UAX (universities and higher education institutions);
• a fitness centre operated by GOfit, with capacity for up to 9,000 users.
