Spain/RFEF: €46m allocated to regional federations in 2026, up nearly 30%

The Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol will allocate €46m to its 19 regional federations in 2026, up nearly 30% compared with the 2021-2025 period (€35.7m), the body announced on 22/04/2026.

This increase, decided during the meeting of the regional federations’ presidents committee at the RFEF headquarters (Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, near Madrid), aims to strengthen the support programme dedicated to "professionalisation, digital improvement and covering equipment needs."

The allocation includes "a €2.5m envelope specifically dedicated to improving the competitiveness of the different federations, rewarding the efficiency and good governance of the governing bodies."

In addition, "entities with fewer resources," such as island federations (Canary Islands, Balearic Islands) and autonomous cities (Ceuta and Melilla), will benefit from additional allocations.
