Portia Archer, CEO of the Women's Tennis Association since July 2024, has stepped down, according to a note from the world body sent to employees and shared by the Reuters news agency on 23/04/2026.

Portia Archer officially left the WTA on 20/04. She had replaced Steve Simon as CEO after the latter, then executive chairman and CEO of the body since 2015, decided to focus solely on his role as chairman. Steve Simon was subsequently replaced by Valerie Camillo as President of the WTA at the end of 2025.

"We are working through a transition plan for the leadership of the WTA and will share an update on this by mid-May," Valerie Camillo wrote in the note.
