Premier League: Hummel extends as equipment supplier of Sunderland AFC beyond the 2025-26 season

Hummel as extended as equipment supplier of Sunderland AFC (Premier League) under a multi-year agreement from the 2026-27 season, the club announced on 23/04/2026.

The Danish brand initially became Sunderland's equipment supplier in 2024-25, when the club was competing in Sky Bet Championship, under an agreement estimated to be worth €2.9m per year, and retained its contract following the club’s promotion to the Premier League for the 2025-26 season. Hummel had taken over from Nike, which was the club's equipment supplier during the 2020-2024 cycle.

Hummel is the equipment supplier of four other clubs in the European Top 5 in 2025-26: Real Betis Balompié (LALIGA EA Sports, 2022-2035), RC Celta (LALIGA EA Sports, 2024-2029), SV Werder Bremen and 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga, 2022-2027 for €4m per season).

• The 2025-26 season is the last in which Premier League clubs are allowed to display a sports betting operator as their main shirt sponsor. Sunderland AFC is therefore expected to announced a new main shirt sponsor to replace bookmaker W88 from the 2026-27 season onwards.
