Spain/Liga F: Beatriz Álvarez, sole candidate, re-elected as president for four more years

The electoral commission of Liga F has confirmed the re-election of Beatriz Álvarez as president of the women’s professional league for a four-year term, until 2030, it announced on 22/04/2026.

Álvarez, who has led Liga F since its creation in 2022 and was the sole declared candidate, received the support of 13 of the 16 Liga F Moeve clubs, a sufficient level to secure her reappointment without the need to convene an extraordinary general assembly.

For its third full financial year, Liga F posted a turnover of €15.58m in 2024-25 (from 01/07/2024 to 30/06/2025), stable compared with 2023-24 (€15.55m), according to the annual accounts published by the Spanish women’s professional football league (Liga Profesional de Fútbol Femenino) in January 2026. The league also reported a net profit of €156,782 for the 2024-25 financial year, five times higher than in 2023-24 (€30,347).
