Los Angeles 2028: more than 4 million tickets sold for the Games during the first release phase

More than four million tickets sold during the first LA28 Olympic Games ticket release, the organising committee announced on 24/04/2026. Ticket sales for the Games began in January 2026.

Among the data provided by the LA28 organising committee:
• tickets were purchased by fans in 85 countries and across all 50 US states and five territories;
• women’s olympic sessions recording 93% sell-through compared to 88% for men’s sessions in the first ticket drop;
• "almost all tickets" priced under $100 (€85) in the first drop were sold during dedicated local sales windows in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City (in Oklahoma, where the olympic softball and canoe-kayak slalom events will be held, 2,200 kilometers east of Los Angeles).
• 500,000 tickets priced at $28 (€24) were sold to residents of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City.

In total, around 14 million tickets will be available for purchase for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. For the Olympics, "more than one million tickets across all sports are priced at $28," while "nearly half of the tickets are under $200 (€170)."
