England: first stadium specifically built to host women's football to open in Brighton by 2030-31

Brighton & Hove Albion FC (Premier League) has confirmed "plans for the UK and Europe's first purpose-built women's football stadium. It will be one of only three such stadiums in the world (after Kansas City and the future venue in Denver, both in the United States), putting the club at the forefront of the women's game globally," the English club announced on 28/04/2026.

The club’s women’s team, which also competes at the top level in the Barclays Women’s Super League (6^th out of 12 after 20 matchdays), currently plays at Broadfield Stadium (6,100 capacity) in Crawley, located 30 kilometres north of Brighton.

"The 10,000-seat stadium, specifically 'built for her' will provide bespoke facilities for Brighton's women's team, its staff and the club's supporters.
