• LALIGA has launched LALIGA Cities Network, which brings together cities home to Spanish professional football clubs with the aim of "establishing a stable framework of partnerships between local councils, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the professional football ecosystem."

• The US fund Entrepreneur Equity Partners has acquired a 16.38% stake in SL Benfica (Liga Portugal Betclic) through the purchase of businessman José Antonio Dos Santos’ shares held via the Valouro group.

• adidas has launched a pet jersey collection inspired by the 2026 World Cup home kits, featuring four national teams (Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Japan), available from 01/05/2026 across several international markets.

• The public broadcaster CCTV (China Media Group) has secured the free-to-air broadcasting rights for two Serie A Enilive games per matchday for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
