Mediapro: redundancy plan reduced from 250 to 189 after agreement with employee representatives

Mediapro has reached an agreement with employee representatives on the departure of 189 employees as part of its staff reduction plan for its offices in Madrid and Barcelona (ESP), the Spanish audiovisual group announced on 30/04/2026.

This figure is lower than the initial 250-person layoff plan announced in early March 2026, mainly due to "the prior exit of more than 20 senior executives and the implementation of a range of cost-efficiency measures across the group," Mediapro explained.

"We are reviewing all contracts and departments to ensure they are profitable and make sense. The aim is to restore revenue and create a healthier mix of clients and income streams," Sergio Oslé, chairman of the group since January 2026, told Spanish daily Expansión on 15/01/2026.

Mediapro is no longer LALIGA's production partner as of the 2025-26 season.
