UEFA/European Cups: TV rights awarded in 19 countries for 2027-2031, first acquisition for Disney+

UC3, in partnership with Relevent Football Partners, has awarded the broadcasting rights for the men’s European club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) across 19 territories for the 2027-2031 cycle (four seasons), the joint venture between UEFA and the EFC announced on 30/04/2026.

The relevant call for tenders was launched on 02/03/2026. "By running such a large number of markets concurrently, UC3, together with its agency Relevent Football Partners, created a unique, highly competitive tender process that generated strong interest from a broad range of media organisations. These included incumbent broadcasters, new market entrants, global digital platforms as well as local pay and free-to-air channels," according to UC3.

Among the markets awarded is Sweden, where Disney+ (The Walt Disney Company) has secured the broadcasting rights to the men's Champions League for the first time. The streaming platform has also extended its exclusive rights for the Europa League and the Conference League in Sweden and Denmark. Disney+ is already a partner of UEFA…
