Belgium/Pro League: DAZN - Telenet distribution agreement from 2026-27 after months of uncertainty

Telenet has signed an agreement with DAZN for the distribution of Pro League competitions from the 2026-27 season, the Belgian private broadcasting group announced on 04/05/2026.

This agreement has come after several months of uncertainty surrounding the broadcasting of the Belgian league football competitions. DAZN, which initially held the full and exclusive domestic TV rights to the Pro League competitions (Jupiler Pro League, Challenger Pro League, Croky Cup, Supercup, Lotto Super League) for the 2025-2030 cycle, announced on 25/11/2025 that it would be terminating the contract after failing to reach an agreement with at least two operators for the distribution of the competitions (a necessary condition for compliance with the contract).

The Pro League had therefore filed, on 26/11/2025, an application for emergency arbitration with CEPANI (the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation) in order to resolve the dispute.
