Serie A Enilive: Fiorentina willing to finance 50% (€55m) of the Stadio Artemio-Franchi renovation

The Commisso family, owner of ACF Fiorentina (Serie A Enilive), "submitted a letter of intent" to the City of Florence (Tuscany, ITA) regarding its willingness to participate in the financing of phase 2 of the Stadio Artemio-Franchi renovation works, contributing €55m of the €110m required to complete the project (according to the municipality’s estimates), the club announced on 27/04/2026.

This announcement comes during an inspection of the phase 1 construction site, which began in summer 2024 and is due to be completed in Q1 of 2027. During this phase, the stadium’s capacity is reduced from 43,147 to 24,000 seats. The inspection took place in the presence of Alessandro Ferrari, Fiorentina’s general manager, Andrea Abodi, Italian Minister for Sport and Youth, and Sara Funaro, Mayor of Florence.
