Lega Serie A: 46,000 children involved in three tournaments to "strengthen ties with new generations"

Lega Serie A have launched the "A Tutta Classe" project, aimed at introducing football into Italian schools "as a tool for development and inclusion in order to foster a genuine passion among new generations, while promoting fundamental values such as respect, commitment and team spirit," the Italian league announced on 05/05/2026.

The initiative comes "at a time when it is becoming increasingly necessary to strengthen ties with new generations," the league added, while the Italian national team failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, marking its third consecutive absence after 2018 and 2022.

As part of the initiative, Lega Serie A will notably support three youth tournaments in 2026, bringing together a total of 46,000 young participants from across Italy within 3,500 teams:
• Primary schools: the Coppa Paolo Mantovani tournament, "which for more than 40 years has involved thousands of children in an experience combining sport and discovery";
