Germany: DFL and DAZN secure court-ordered blocking of pirate website livetv.sx

The Deutsche Fußball Liga and DAZN have secured a court decision granting a blocking injunction against livetv.sx, an illegal sports piracy website in Germany, which "is estimated to account for a significant majority of illegal sports streaming consumption across the DACH region," the German football league announced on 06/05/2026.

"Despite its scale, longevity, and sophisticated efforts to evade enforcement through non-compliant hosting providers, content delivery networks, and registrars, the site will now be subject to blocking measures. Further legal steps against related mirror domains are currently being assessed," the DFL said. The German league, alongside DAZN, provided data and analysis to support the legal action brought by the CUII (Clearingstelle Urheberrecht im Internet), Germany’s clearing body for internet piracy.
