Formula 1: Sky extends TV rights in the UK and Ireland through 2034 and in Italy until 2032

Sky has extended its exclusive broadcasting rights to the Formula 1 World Championship in the UK and Ireland until 2034, as well as in Italy until 2032, Formula One Group announced on 06/05/2026.

The pay-TV operator had previously extended, in September 2022, its exclusive TV rights to the competition in the UK and Ireland through 2029, as well as in Italy and the DACH region until 2027. No extension has been announced for the broadcasting of F1 in the DACH region beyond 2027, as of 06/05/2026.

"Since becoming the exclusive home of Formula 1 in the UK and Ireland in 2019, Sky has played a central role in the sport’s growth in those territories, as well as across English-speaking nations that have adopted the broadcaster’s programming. Total viewing in the UK & Ireland has increased by 90%, with under-35s up 120%, and female viewership has more than doubled," Formula One Group said.
