Ligue 1 McDonald’s: French top flight to be broadcast again in Spain on DAZN from the end of 2025-26

OTT platform DAZN has acquired from LFP Media the exclusive and full broadcasting rights for Ligue 1 McDonald's in Spain from the end of the 2025-26 season, the Ligue de Football Professionnel announced on 07/05/2026.

"This marks the first time since the 2017-18 season that Spanish fans will have access to every match, with at least two games per matchday commented in Spanish," LFP said. The agreement will begin with the broadcast of the RC Lens - Paris Saint-Germain fixture (Matchday 29 postponed game) on Wednesday 13/05/2026 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

The French top flight had no longer been broadcast in Spain following the end of the agreement between the league and Warner Bros. Discovery (owner of Eurosport and HBO Max) covering the 2022-2024 period. "With this new agreement, Ligue 1 McDonald’s continues its international development and is now broadcast in 216 territories through 51 international partners," the League added.

DAZN is also the broadcaster of Ligue 1 in Belgium, Japan and the DACH region.
