Palermo FC: documentation submitted for Renzo-Barbera Stadium redevelopment, with Euro 2032 ambition

Palermo FC (Serie BKT) have submitted to the Sicilian Region the documentation required as part of the administrative process linked to their Renzo-Barbera Stadium redevelopment project (36,215 capacity), the club announced on 08/05/2026.

The project, estimated at €300m, is supported by the region, the municipality and the Italian State, while the majority of the financing is expected to be provided by City Football Group, owner of the club.

"This represents further confirmation of the club’s commitment — financial and otherwise — already announced, while awaiting the concrete implementation of the contributions that the Italian State and the Sicilian Region have also indicated their intention to provide alongside the club and the municipality," Palermo FC said.

The project, developed with British architecture firm Populous, is based around five pillars:
