Eagle Football Group: EBITDA at -€2.2m in H1 2025-26, net loss of €186.5m (vs -€116.9m at 31/12/2024)

Eagle Football Group posted a net loss of €186.5m in the first half of the 2025-26 financial year (from 01/07 to 31/12/2025), compared with a loss of €116.9m at 31/12/2024, the holding company owning Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) announced on 12/05/2026.

The operating loss stood at -€163.7m (vs -€90.5m a year earlier). This operating loss "takes into account significant write-downs of receivables from related parties" (Eagle Bidco, EFG’s parent company, and Botafogo, playing in the Brazilian top division and owned by Eagle Bidco), "in relation to the default risk identified with regard to these counterparties (for a total amount of €126.2m). Excluding these write-downs (purely accounting transactions, the relevance of which will be re-assessed at the next financial statement), operating profit would amount to -€37.5m, an improvement of €52.9m compared with 31/12/2024," the club said.
