FIFA: ExCo meeting in July 2015 to set date of extraordinary congress to elect a new president

An extraordinary meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee will be held "in July 2015", to determine the date of the extraordinary elective congress at which the successor of Joseph Blatter as president of FIFA will be elected, stated the international federation to News Tank on 10/06/2015. The exact date of the meeting of the Executive Committee has not yet been determined.

"The next ordinary FIFA Congress will take place on 13/052016 in Mexico City (MEX). This would create unnecessary delay and I will urge the Executive Committee to organise an Extraordinary Congress for the election of my successor at the earliest opportunity," stated Joseph Blatter during his announcement that he would "lay down his mandate", on 02/06/2015.
