• Giancarlo Abete, president of the Italian National Amateur League, and Giovanni Malagò, president of CONI and the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 (the organising committee for the most recent Winter Olympics), have each officially submitted their candidacy for the election to appoint Gabriele Gravina’s successor as president of the FIGC on 22 June 2026.

• Former Spain international Sergio Ramos and investment fund Five Eleven Capital have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to acquire a majority stake in Sevilla FC (LALIGA EA Sports), as part of a transaction valuing the club at around €450m.

• McDonald’s has become the naming partner of the future stadium of Chicago Fire FC (MLS) to be named ”McDonald’s Park”, as part of a deal running until 2040 for the 22,000-seat venue due to open in 2028 in Chicago.

• Lega Serie A is reportedly in talks, through the American bank JPMorgan, with nearly 30 investment funds regarding the creation of a commercial company involving the sale of a stake in its international TV rights.
