UEFA/United Kingdom: Champions League final not broadcast free-to-air for the first time since 1992

The pay-TV group TNT Sports will not broadcast the 2025-26 Champions League final for free in the United Kingdom, despite the presence of Arsenal FC (Premier League), who will face Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 McDonald's) on 30 May 2026.

It will be the first time that the final has not been available free-to-air in the United Kingdom since 1992, when the European Champion Clubs’ Cup (created in 1955) became the UEFA Champions League. In previous seasons, the match had been available on YouTube or through free-to-air channels. The Europa League and Conference League finals, each involving an English club (Aston Villa FC and Crystal Palace FC respectively), will also not be broadcast for free. The matches will be available on TNT Sports’ pay-TV channels and on the HBO Max streaming platform.

The group currently holds the full and exclusive media rights to Champions League games (except for Tuesday’s first-pick match broadcast by Prime Video), as well as the rights to the Europa League and Conference League for the 2024-2027 cycle.
