FC Metz: Anne-Claire Mangel promoted to group managing director

Anne-Claire Mangel, managing director of SAS FC Metz Stadium, the club subsidiary dedicated to the operation of Stade Saint-Symphorien, and the club’s secretary general, has been promoted to the position of managing director of FC Metz (relegated to Ligue 2 BKT at the end of the 2025-26 season), the club announced on 19 May 2026.

This announcement comes one day after the departure of Hélène Schrub, who had served as group managing director since April 2016.

This departure leads to a restructuring of Groupe FC Metz (see chart below), the parent company of SASP FC Metz, in charge of the professional sporting activity, and FC Metz Stadium, in charge of extra-sporting activities and infrastructure.

While Anne-Claire Mangel, former director of sports for the city of Metz, has been appointed managing director of the group and retains the management of FC Metz Stadium, two recruitments are planned: a secretary general to support Anne-Claire Mangel and a managing director for SASP FC Metz.
