Ligue 1 McDonald’s: Auchan (retail) extends as RC Lens main shirt sponsor for five seasons (2026-2031)

Auchan, a French retail company, has extended as RC Lens (Ligue 1 McDonald's) main shirt sponsor for five additional seasons (2026-2031), the club announced on 28 May 2026. The extension was negotiated by Sportfive.

The company, headquartered in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, around 40 kilometres from Lens, has been associated with the Artois-based club for more than 40 years and has served as a major partner (1^st level) and main shirt sponsor for the past ten seasons, under an agreement initially signed in 2016-17 and already renewed on 16 August 2022. This extension therefore brings the total duration of the partnership to 15 seasons.

In 2016-17, Auchan Retail France replaced “Azerbaijan Land of Fire,” the slogan of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, as RC Lens’ main shirt sponsor (2013-2016).

The announcement comes six days after RC Lens won the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole final against OGC Nice (3-1) for the first time in the club’s history, on 23 May 2026.
