Spain: CD Leganés (second division) acquired by 885 Capital from Blue Crow, owner of Le Havre AC

UAE-based investment fund 885 Capital has become the owner of CD Leganés (LALIGA HYPERMOTION), holding a 99.1% stake after increasing its participation through the acquisition of Blue Crow Sports Group’s 84.2% shareholding, the club announced on 01 June 2026.

As part of the transaction, Eduardo Cosín, previously executive vice-president, has been appointed president of the Madrid-area club.

"The new owner intends to focus its efforts on improving sporting performance, strengthening ties with season-ticket holders and supporters, continuing the modernisation of the club’s infrastructure, and preserving the identity, history and values of a club approaching its centenary," the club, which plays its home matches at the Estadio Ontime Butarque (14,422 capacity), said.

Blue Crow Sports Group, chaired by American executive Jeff Luhnow, became the owner of Le Havre AC (Ligue 1 McDonald’s) on 02 July 2025 following the acquisition of the Luxembourg-based holding company through which Vincent Volpe (USA) controlled the club.
