2026 World Cup: opening of "the most technologically advanced IBC ever" in Dallas

FIFA has inaugurated the 2026 World Cup International Broadcast Center (IBC) at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, on 01 June 2026.

The 45,000 square metre space is described as "the most technologically advanced and top of the art international broadcast centre that the world has ever seen," according to Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA. The centre will be home to more than 2,000 broadcast media representatives as well as the FIFA's video content production department, the FIFA's football technology and innovation department as well as housing the video assistant referee (VAR) room.

The Chinese group Lenovo, FIFA's official technology partner for the competition, has also deployed its servers at the IBC "to deliver the computing power, devices and AI-driven solutions needed to bring every moment of every match to global audiences. More than 17,000 Lenovo and Motorola devices are deployed across venues and Team Base Camp training sites, supported by over 200 Lenovo engineers across all venues," the International Federation said.
