FIFPRO: office to be set up in Washington DC with the MLSPA during the 2026 World Cup

FIFPRO, in partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA), will establish an office dedicated to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Washington DC (USA), which will operate throughout the tournament, the global players’ union announced on 3 June 2026.

The facility "will serve as a central hub for coordination, information-sharing and support across the global player union network," the organisation based in Hoofddorp (Netherlands) added.

Announced during a three-day meeting of the FIFPRO Global Board at its headquarters, the creation of the office forms part of the measures put in place "to support players, member unions and stakeholders throughout the competition."
