Ligue 1: "Highest international audiences since 2022" for the 2025-26 season, 520m cumulative audience

Ligue 1 McDonald's has recorded "its highest international audiences since 2022" during the 2025-26 season, the Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP) announced on 5 June 2026.

Among the figures released by LFP:
• 520 million cumulative viewers over the season, with "Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches and programmes broadcast internationally posting a significant increase of 28% compared with the previous season";
• a 22% increase in live match audiences;
• a 40% rise in magazine and highlights programme audiences.

"This momentum is notably driven by expanded coverage, supported by the arrival of major new broadcasters such as SuperSport in English-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa, Fox in Mexico, and VTV Cab in Vietnam," the League explained.

Several markets stood out with particularly strong audience growth, including Brazil, where viewership increased by 281%, "notably thanks to the impact of Endrick (who played for Olympique Lyonnais from January to May 2026)." In Brazil, the French championship is broadcast by the streamer CazéTV.
