Fans of Stade Rennais FC (Ligue 1) have chosen "Roazhon Park" (pronounced Roa-zone Park) as the new name of Stade de la Route de Lorient (29,780 seats), announced the club on 12/06/2015. Roazhon is the Breton (the Celtic language historically spoken in the region of Brittany) translation of the name of the city of Rennes, where the club is based.

This name, which was chosen ahead of "Roazhon Celtic Park" and "Stade des Hermines", received more than 70% of the votes during the consultation (60,000 voters according to the local newspaper Ouest France) launched by the club on 29/05/2015. "The stadium has name that is full of character, more in line with the strong identity of Brittany, its people and supporters of Stade Rennais FC. The stadium had an address, now it has a name!" said the club.

  • The new name of the stadium comes into force from the start of the 2015-16 season, with the first match at Roazhon Park against Torino FC (Serie A TIM) on 01/08/2015, announced Stade Rennais.
