• The private free-TV group M6 and the pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France share the broadcasting rights to the 2026 World Cup in France, the first to feature 48 teams. 52% of the matches in the competition will be broadcast free-to-air. M6 will broadcast 54 matches, including 22 matches in the knockout phase (nine Round of 32 matches, six Round of 16 matches, three quarter-finals, the semi-finals, the match for third place and the final). beIN will broadcast all 104 matches in the competition on its channels, including 50 matches on an exclusive basis (40 matches in the group phase, seven Round of 32 matches, two Round of 16 matches and one quarter-final).

• In the UK, 100% of the matches will be broadcast free-to-air. The British public broadcaster BBC and the British free-TV television group ITV will co-broadcast the competition after acquiring the broadcasting rights at the same time as those for the 2030 World Cup, on 17 December 2024.

• In Germany, 58% of the matches will be broadcast free-to-air. Deutsche Telekom will broadcast all 2026 World Cup matches live on pay-TV, including…
