Video Games: Konami retains the rights to the Champions League and the Europa League until 2018

Konami, the Japanese video game publisher, has retained the rights to the Champions League and the Europa League, until 2018, for its franchise Pro Evolution Soccer, announced UEFA on 12/06/2015. Konami has held both licenses since 2009.

The agreement allows Konami to use the image and the logos of UEFA competitions for the upcoming editions of PES. The company announced that the Brazilian international Neymar (FC Barcelona) will be its ambassador for PES 2016.

  • The logo for PES 2015 was displayed on the socks of 14 clubs from the Liga BBVA from Matchday 31 onwards, and then on 12 clubs in April and May 2015.

EA Sports licenses in football

  • EA Sports holds the rights for FIFA, the world's major football leagues such as the Barclays Premier League, the Serie A TIM, tje Liga BBVA, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and MLS.
  • EA Sports holds the license to FIFA until 2022.
