Le Mans FC: Thierry Gomez steps down after 10 years as president; Pedro Oliveira (OutField) succeeds him

Thierry Gomez has stepped down from his position as president of Le Mans FC after 10 years at the head of the club, the latter announced on 16 June 2026.

He was succeeded by Pedro Oliveira, co-founder of Brazilian investment fund OutField, which became a minority shareholder in the club in the summer of 2025 before acquiring a majority stake in February 2026.

Having joined Le Mans in July 2016, when the club was competing in National 3 (5^th division), Thierry Gomez announced his departure a few weeks after the club secured promotion to Ligue 1 McDonald’s for the 2026-27 season by finishing second in Ligue 2 BKT in 2025-26.

"After 10 years at the head of the club, I believe a cycle has come to an end. It is a difficult decision to make, but just as I feel I arrived at Le Mans FC at the right time, I also believe it is important to know when the right time to leave has come," Thierry Gomez said in a statement in which he thanked the successive mayors of Le Mans, the club’s partners, supporters and Le Mans Stadium, a subsidiary of Vinci Concessions and operator of the Stade…
