2026 World Cup: nearly 2 million visitors at 13 FIFA Fan Festivals after first 24 matches

Nearly 2 million visitors gathered at the 13 FIFA Fan Festivals organised across host cities in the three countries staging the 2026 World Cup after the first 24 matches of the tournament’s group stage, FIFA announced on 19 June 2026.

Among the 1,992,302 cumulative visitors recorded as of 17 June, 527,100 attended the FIFA Fan Festival in Mexico City, 244,710 in Monterrey and 218,424 in Guadalajara, making the three Mexican host cities the most visited locations. "Venues in Canada and the US have been consistently operating at capacity," FIFA added.

FIFA Fan Festivals are being organised in 13 of the 16 host cities of the 2026 World Cup:
• United States (8): Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia and New York;
• Mexico (3): Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey;
• Canada (2): Toronto, Vancouver.

Only three US host cities do not feature dedicated fan zones for match screenings and entertainment activities: Boston, San Francisco and Seattle.
