Ligue 2 BKT/Clermont Foot 63: agreement reached on sale to Stéphane Tessier (ex-AS Saint-Étienne and OM)

Swiss company Coresports Alliance, through which Ahmet Schaefer owns Clermont Foot 63 (Ligue 2 BKT), and Stéphane Tessier, through his company ABL Finance, "have reached an agreement regarding the sale of a 94.33% stake in SASP Clermont Foot 63," the club announced on 21 June 2026.

Stéphane Tessier, former chief executive officer of AS Saint-Étienne and later Olympique de Marseille, is thus acquiring the club from the Swiss businessman, who himself purchased Clermont Foot 63 from Claude Michy, whom he succeeded as president, under an agreement announced on 4 March 2019.

"As part of the regulatory process governing this transaction, Ahmet Schaefer, representing Coresports Alliance, and Stéphane Tessier, representing ABL Finance, will appear before the DNCG on Tuesday 23 June at 14:30," the club added. "All parties are now working towards finalising the transaction, in accordance with the applicable timetable and procedures."
