Ligue 1: Groupama gets naming rights to the Olympique Lyonnais development centre until 31/12/2018

The insurance company Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne has acquired the naming rights to the development centre of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) for a period of three and a half years, until 31/12/2018, indicated the OL Groupe on 15/06/2015. The contract also includes an option on the naming of the training centre. The partnership had already been announced by Jean-Michel Aulas, the president of the club, on 13/04/2015.

The construction of the mixed gender development centre should begin in September 2015 in the area of Meyzieu, near the new stadium, and end in the second half of 2016. The construction of the new training centre based in Décines (very close to the new Grand Stade de Lyon) and the development centre in Meyzieu will reportedly cost €22m. Olympique Lyonnais and the OL Groupe association signed a 10-year partnership with the Groupama Banque group for a total amount of €14m on 12/06/2015. OL Groupe has launched a capital increase for a gross amount of approximately €52m to finance the training and development centres on 04/05/2015.
