FC Metz: Emmanuel Desplats appointed managing director of the club’s professional football subsidiary

Emmanuel Desplats has been appointed managing director of FC Metz’s subsidiary dedicated to professional football activities, the club relegated to Ligue 2 BKT at the end of the 2025-26 season announced on 22 June 2026.

"A recognised professional in French football, Emmanuel Desplats has built up extensive experience within professional clubs over more than 20 years. During his career, he notably served as deputy managing director at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and as managing director at Dijon FCO, where he contributed to the development of the club’s administrative, legal and organisational activities," FC Metz said.

Emmanuel Desplats will join the club on 23 June, while Hélène Schrub "will ensure the transition alongside him until 31 July so that he can fully assume his new responsibilities from 1 August."

The announcement comes one month after the promotion of Anne-Claire Mangel, managing director of SAS FC Metz Stadium, the club subsidiary mainly dedicated to the operation of Stade Saint-Symphorien, to the position of managing director of Groupe FC Metz on 19 May 2026.
