Eagle Football Group: agreement for Michele Kang to acquire Eagle Bidco stake through Olympe Bidco

Eagle Football Holdings Bidco Limited (“Eagle Bidco”), Michele Kang, Eagle Football Group (“EFG”) and Olympique Lyonnais’ (Ligue 1 McDonald's) creditors have entered into a series of agreements relating to a takeover of EFG by Olympe Bidco, the American executive’s acquisition vehicle, and a concurrent restructuring of EFG’s debt, the parties announced on 23 June 2026.

Michele Kang, who has served as president and CEO of Olympique Lyonnais since 30 June 2025 following the departure of John Textor, will acquire Eagle Bidco’s 87.78% stake in EFG. Eagle Bidco has been under administration since 27 March 2026 "under English insolvency law following events of default under its financing arrangements."

The transaction includes:
• "the acquisition of the entire stake held by Eagle Bidco for an aggregate purchase price of $30m, representing a price per share of approximately $0.1943;
• a financing commitment by the new shareholder to provide up to €71m of new funding to OL Group over the next two seasons, including a first tranche of €31m made available upon completion of the acquisition;
