European Top 5: an average of 34,483 spectators/game & average stadium fill rate of 89.5% in 2025-26

The 96 clubs that competed in the European Top 5 leagues during the 2025-26 season posted an average attendance of 34,483 spectators per match, up 2.8% from 2024-25 (33,549 per match). The average stadium fill rate reached 89.5% in 2025-26, compared with 89.7% in 2024-25.

The German top flight saw the biggest increase in average attendance compared with 2024-25 (+9.4%), with an average of 42,285 spectators per game. The Bundesliga, which dominates the European Top 5, was ahead of the Premier League (41,621, +3%). Next was LALIGA EA Sports (31,018, +3%), followed by the Serie A Enilive (30,156, -1%) and finally Ligue 1 McDonald's (27,588, -1.3%).

In terms of average stadium fill rates, the Premier League leads the way (98.0%), ahead of the Bundesliga (97.2%), Ligue 1 McDonald’s (87.4%), LALIGA EA Sports (84.9%) and Serie A Enilive (82.5%).

With 81,365 spectators per game at Signal Iduna Park (81,365 capacity), Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) were the club that had the highest average attendance during the 2025-26 season, ahead of FC Bayern Munich (75,000) and Manchester United FC…
