The Monterrey Stadium in Guadalupe (part of the Monterrey metropolitan area, Mexico), with a capacity of 51,243 for the 2026 World Cup, is hosting four matches during the tournament (see schedule below), including a Round of 32 fixture on 30 June.

The venue, designed by British architecture firm Populous and opened in 2015 at a total construction cost of $200m, is one of the 16 host stadiums selected for the 2026 men’s World Cup co-organised by the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The stadium is owned by Fomento Económico Mexicano (FEMSA), a Mexican multinational active in beverages, retail and food services. The venue features 336 suites and 4,800 premium seats.

Spanish bank BBVA, through its Mexican subsidiary, acquired the naming rights to “Estadio BBVA” under an initial 10-year agreement covering the 2015-2025 period before extending the deal for a further five years until 2030. This designation cannot officially be used during FIFA World Cup competitions, as commercial stadium names that are not official FIFA partners are excluded from the tournament.
