The BBC has extended its TV and radio broadcasting rights to the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament with the All England Lawn Tennis Club for the 2028-2033 cycle (covering a further six editions) in the United Kingdom, the two parties announced on 25 June 2026.

The public broadcaster has been the domestic rights holder for Wimbledon since 1937 (and of radio rights since 1927). "Under the new deal, audiences will continue to enjoy comprehensive live coverage of the Championships across BBC TV, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds, and the BBC Sport website and app, as well as across BBC Sport's extensive social channels," the two organisations said.

This extension has been announced as qualifying for the 2027 edition of Wimbledon is underway, with the main draw set to begin on 29 June. "This year's Wimbledon coverage will usher in a fresh new editorial and creative approach from BBC Sport, featuring new voices and personalities, deeper storytelling, enhanced analysis, and technology across TV, radio, online and social platforms."
