Arkema Première Ligue: record cumulative attendance of 339,108 in 2025-26 (+41% vs 2024-25)

A record total of 339,108 spectators attended the 135 matches (132 regular-season fixtures and three play-off matches) of the 2025-26 Arkema Première Ligue season (12 clubs), up 41% from 219,740 in 2024-25, representing "the strongest growth among Europe’s major leagues," the Ligue Féminine de Football Professionnel (LFFP) announced on 24 June 2026. Average attendance reached 2,511 spectators per match.

The 2025-26 season featured 77 matches played in major stadiums, compared with 66 the previous campaign, and set a new single-match attendance record, with 35,713 spectators at Marseille’s Stade Vélodrome for Les Marseillaises - Montpellier HSC Féminines on 28 March 2026.

With this cumulative attendance figure, the French women’s top flight "has entered Europe’s top three behind England and Germany." While the Barclays Women’s Super League attracted around 900,000 spectators over the season, the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga recorded an all-time high of 653,750 spectators, helped in particular by its expansion from 12 to 14 clubs for the 2025-26 season.
