2026 World Cup/France: "excellent viewing figures" on beIN with an audience reach over 15 million viewers

"More than 15 million viewers" have been reached by coverage of the 2026 World Cup on beIN SPORTS France channels since the start of the tournament, according to data from audience measurement institute Médiamétrie released by the pay-TV group on 29 June 2026.

beIN, which broadcasts the entire World Cup, posted "excellent audience figures" during the group stage. France's opening match against Senegal (a 3-1 victory) drew an average audience of 636,000 viewers with a peak at 796,000 on beIN SPORTS 1 on Tuesday, 16 June 2026 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). France's match against Norway (on Matchday 3, a 4-1 victory) drew an average of 740,000 viewers with a peak at 838,000 on Friday, 26 June 2026 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to Médiamétrie.

The first half of France's second group-stage match against Iraq (a 3-0 win, kick-off at 23:00 CET) drew an average of 413,000 viewers on the pay-TV channel before the game was suspended for nearly two hours at half-time due to weather conditions. France's matches were also broadcast live free-to-air on M6.
