2026 World Cup / Brazil: new viewership record on CazéTV’s YouTube channel for Brazil - Japan

Brazil - Japan (2-1), Round of 32 match of the 2026 World Cup, reached a peak of 21 million viewers (“connected devices”) on the CazéTV YouTube channel that broadcast the match in Brazil, on Monday 29 June 2026 (kick-off at 12:00 local time), the streamer announced on the same day.

This is a new record for the platform. Brazil’s first three matches had already posted record audience peaks on YouTube, with peaks of 12.7 million concurrent viewers for the game against Morocco (1-1, on 13 June), 16.2 million against Haiti (3-0, on 19 June) and 18.3 million for the game against Scotland (3-0, on 24 June).

The channel was created by the streamer in collaboration with the marketing agency LiveMode in November 2022, and has 37 million subscribers as of 30 June 2026.

• The broadcasting rights for the 2026 World Cup are also held in Brazil by the audiovisual group Globo.
