Euro 2016: the City of Paris presents its programme of activities

The City of Paris has unveiled its programme of activities for Euro 2016, which includes "the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone, a moving village, which will include sports tournaments and other acitivities in schools and cultural spaces," said Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, on 16/06/2015. The French capital will host five matches at the Parc des Princes (46,000 seats), while the neighbouring northern region of Saint-Denis will host seven matches at the Stade de France (80,000 seats), including the opening match and the final. More than 800,000 total spectators are expected in these two stadiums.

"The activities will be organised in all districts of Paris and in open spaces all around the city. From the Place de la République to the Quais de la Seine passing by the Champ-de-Mars. All sports facilities, all schools in Paris, all the participating cultural venues will take part in these activities," said Anne Hidalgo on 16/06/2015.
