Spain: €387m in revenue for the RFEF in 2025, a "very solid" financial position

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) generated €387m in revenue in 2025, €14.7m above its projected budget, the federation announced while describing its financial position as "very solid" during its ordinary general assembly held in Madrid (ESP) on 30 June 2026.

The increase was primarily driven by ticketing revenue, which reached €19.3m, €6.2m above budget, notably thanks to the 2025 Copa del Rey final (FC Barcelona-Real Madrid, 3-2, on 26 April 2025) and the UEFA Nations League Finals, held in Germany from 4 to 8 June 2025.

The RFEF also recorded stronger-than-expected financial income, which exceeded the projected budget by €2.3m to reach €6.4m, while revenue from federation licences came in €1.5m above budget, totalling €20.8m.

On the expenditure side (€384m in 2025, €11.7m above budget), the federation’s largest spending item was financial support for clubs (€74.5m, or 19.4% of total expenditure), followed by national teams (€66.7m, 17.3%) and refereeing (€52.8m, 13.75%).
