AS Monaco FC: Matthias Reichwald (ex-RB Leipzig) appointed chief revenue and marketing officer

Matthias Reichwald has been appointed chief revenue and marketing officer of AS Monaco FC (Ligue 1 McDonald's), the club announced on 2 July 2026.

The German executive served as chief commercial officer of RB Leipzig (Bundesliga) from 2017 until December 2025 before leaving the club "by mutual agreement." He succeeds Thibaut Chatelard, who joined Olympique Lyonnais as senior vice president, marketing & revenue, in February 2026.

"Reporting to CEO Thiago Scuro, Matthias Reichwald will oversee all of AS Monaco’s commercial operations (sponsorship, partnerships, hospitality and ticketing), as well as the club’s digital and marketing activities. His mission will be to increase the club’s revenue generation, develop partnerships and enhance the attractiveness of the AS Monaco brand," the Principality club said.

"Matthias Reichwald brings extensive experience in professional sports, sponsorship and marketing," AS Monaco added. He began his career at Puma before serving as CEO Germany of Swiss sportswear brand Odlo and later of Danish footwear company ECCO Shoes.
